HOSTING INFORMATION

HOSTS (See Schedule HERE…be sure to choose “Host” tab on bottom)

The school you are hosting has your initials next to it.  When each school arrives at the loading dock, meet the director and show them where to drop off rhythm section gear.  Inform them to keep equipment together in groups in the loading dock area or in lobby (loading dock volunteer parent has list of where each school’s equipment will go).  Once their warmup slot is approaching (see schedule above), take them from the loading dock or wherever they are at to black box theater (Side A) or Music Theater Classroom (side B) for warmup .  When warmup time has ended, please bring them from warmup area to performance center (Side A in on stage, Side B in band room). When performance time is done, bring them from performance area to one on one clinic site (Side A - Show Choir Practice Room and Side B in MacLab).

Please note the directions of coming in and out of each performance center.

Side A - Bring in black box south doors, exit out north doors, come on stage from black box hallway entrance to stage and out north door by garage door. Bring into the show choir practice room from south doors (facing down hallway into loading dock) and exit out north door by McGraw’s classroom..

Side B - Bring in and out of Music Theater Classroom door (keep band that is before them in hallway on west side (next to bathrooms), bring down to bandroom and use entrance by my office. Exit out of band room through south doors leading into loading dock. Bring into the MacLab from loading dock.

Remind students in hallways to stay quiet so they dont interupt warmups, clinics and/or performances.

Help with any equipment issues each school might have.  After the session is done, help them move from their center back to the loading dock to load their buses.

STAGE SET UP (THEATER)

Assist getting each band set up with the appropriate chairs, music stands, etc.  Help with any equipment issues, locating power strips, etc.  Help get each band off the stage in a timely manner and make sure your center stays on time.

STAGE SET UP (BAND ROOM)

Assist getting each band set up with the appropriate chairs, music stands, etc.  Help with any equipment issues, locating power strips, etc.  Help get each band in and out of the band room in a timely manner and make sure your center stays on time.

RECORDERS

At noon and 5:30PM, all the recorders from both the theater and band room need to be collected and plugged into the iMac computer.  Identify each recording and make sure they get downloaded into folders named for each school.  Check the file creation time to confirm or listen to the first few seconds as each judge is supposed to identify themselves and state the name of the group they are adjudicating.
