Our award winning jazz band is comprised of 5 saxes (2 altos, 2 tenors and 1 bari), 4 trombones (3 tenors and 1 bass), 5 trumpets, 2 set players, piano, guitar and bass.  If interest level is high, we will have two jazz bands.

Our Jazz I group has won numerous awards over the last 9 years.  The band competes every year at various competitions in South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska.  Most recently the band has won 1st place in the AA division for 6 years in row at the Augustana Jazz Festival.  The band also hosts its own festival called the Palace City Jazz Festival in February.
